Time appears to stop as the bass drops. Thirty years of electronic music history come together in one throbbing moment in the darkness before dawn at a former missile site in Kastellaun, Germany. “Power” by Paul van Dyk, the official song for Nature One 2025, was released, commemorating both a significant anniversary and a significant musical statement.
This isn’t your typical festival song. In 2025, Nature One will commemorate its 30th anniversary. The festival bears the burden of three decades that turned electronic music from a subversive movement to a worldwide sensation. Nearly every beat of the event’s “three decades of electrifying nights, legendary sets, and unforgettable festival moments” has been accompanied by van Dyk.
Paul van Dyk has had a close relationship with Nature One since his early days at the Pydna missile base in Kastellaun. He was there from the beginning as a pioneer, the main act, and a popular favorite.
NATURE ONE is more than just a festival to me – it’s a piece of home, a place full of memories, friendships, and fantastic nights. I’ve witnessed the growth of this event over three decades, and it fills me with pride to be part of this journey. ‘Power’ is my musical thank-you to the people who made NATURE ONE what it is today – a symbol of the power of electronic music and the energy of its community. – Paul van Dyk
With its industrial architecture and concrete bunkers, the Pydna base turned into an unexpected electronic music cathedral. Since its inception at the Pydna missile base in Kastellaun, Van Dyk has been a part of Nature One. The festival has grown from a small gathering to a global leader in the electronic music industry.
