I’ll be the very first in my family members to earn an university level, which’s something I hold really near to my heart.
My household and I relocated to the USA in 2014 We selected Memphis as our second home to begin fresh and build a far better future.
When I graduated high school in 2020, I made a decision to join the Military Book so I can work full time to assist sustain my household financially. Along the way, my parents constantly reminded me of the importance of a college level. Honestly, I fought with the choice in between choosing work over college.
That altered when I uncovered the College of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could make my level 100 % online from a recognized, nationally acknowledged Carnegie R 1 university. The versatility of the program made it feasible to balance job, life, and education and learning. When I enlisted, I knew I made the ideal selection.
As an on-line student, I remained involved with school life through occupation fairs and joining student companies like the Culture of Personnel Administration. I wished to get one of the most out of my college experience and get in touch with people that shared my enthusiasm for HR.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of fall term. Many thanks to the support and structure of UofM Global, I was able to finish strong, even making the Dean’s Checklist. I’m taking 4 courses while serving on active duty, and I’m pleased to state I’ll be graduating in May.
Being able to serve my country, sustain my family, and gain my level indicates the world to me. I feel prepared to tackle whatever follows.
